FFXIV: Moogle Treasure Trove – Fan Festival 2021 Edition!

Final Fantasy XIV has hosted several Moogle Treasure Trove events over the past couple years, but this is the first one that centers around the virtual Fan Festival that’s taking place May 15 and May 16, 2021.

Starting May 14, a new set of Moogle Tomes – Irregular Tomes of Pageantry – can be earned by running specific content. In fact, this is the widest array of content that has ever awarded tomes in one of these events!

Every raid in the Alliance Raid series provides tomes, as well as every raid in the normal raid series. A couple trials and PVP are also included. And, of course, the infamous Castrum and Praetorium runs – though the interesting thing about these two are that the number of tomes rewarded for each has been doubled.

Check out the official web page to see a list of content and the tomes rewarded.

What’s even more interesting is the variety of items you can earn this time around. There’s only a couple mounts available that haven’t been featured in a Treasure Trove yet. However, of real interest are hard to get hairstyles and emotes! If you love Dancing Mad, all of the musical movements are available.

Also for the first time ever, you can also pick up full sets of gear, I’m assuming for glamour purposes. If housing is your thing, this event provides a variety of furniture, which is new to the Treasure Trove event, as well.

It looks like there’s something for everyone this run. With double drop rates from Praetorium and every Alliance Raid giving something, even if all you did was a few of these, you should be able to pick up rewards fairly easily.

Good luck and see you in Praetorium! 😉

Newly Renovated – Crystal Lab R&D

Amon’s brought a bit of the Crystal Tower to Shirogane with his newly redesigned lab. The Observation Station even has more privacy now! Woot! ((Really, it’s looking less a lab now days and more of a nerd hangout….))

Anyhow! If you want to stop by on Mateus, there’s a guestbook there for visitors! Feel free to pop in and take screens if you like what you see!

Hatching Tide Art Party

On Sunday, Scylla, I and a few friends attended an art party hosted by the FC Baha Blast! We had a great time dancing and playing in the lovely egg ball pit they had set up. It was a good ending to a pretty social weekend for us, and I hope to continue to visit events and art parties like this more often in the future.

FFXIV: Joining the Holy See’s Music Troupe

[Spoilers for Firmament quests – go do them, they’re wholesome!]

While I don’t typically busk around the Ishgard areas (the cold weather is hard on fiddles!), I did spend some time helping out during the Firmament restoration. Enough so that I was given a Beatus title with the folks there.

Someone must have caught wind that I’m also a bard, because I was invited to perform along with the Holy See’s music troupe. On piano!

Well… piano isn’t my forte, but a few practice sessions and I had the hang of it. Or at least, enough of a hang that I could play the chosen song.

((Author’s Note: Seriously SE, this is not how practice works!))

And what a performance it was!

The crowd seemed to adore it, as well! Take a bow, everyone!
