Amon Sticker Speed Paint

I spent this morning working on digitally inking and painting one of the Amon stickers. There was a request for a speed paint of it, so here you go!
I cut out about an hour of boring stuff (painting under lines and things), but this is pretty much the whole process from start to finish. Sped up, of course.

I spent a good deal of time working on the screenshots for the Ascent storyline, so I wanted to post a gallery now that the story is fully posted! Many of these took some editing - especially the ones with the dark cloud backgrounds. Those were all blue screened in game with the effects added via Photoshop.

Things That Will Never Happen to Amon (1) – 5.3 Style

So I finished 5.3 last night, and the irony of the ending wasn’t lost upon me.
Amon, as I write him, maintains a healthy fear of the Warrior of Light. This makes sense from his PoV - this is the powerful hero who led the raid into Syrcus Tower, defeating Amon and Xande both. Basically, this is the person who killed Amon, and he doesn’t want the WoL to know he survived.
So, there’s HUGE irony in the final trial of 5.3… wherein Amon gets his turn to open a can on a “Warrior of Light” by defeating him - in all places - in Xande’s throne room.
Not only that, but I popped the Bard LB3 during our run (waited for melee to do it, and they didn’t pop it at 3%, and the party was calling for it, so…). I ended up sacrificing myself to the LB, but that being the final action I took during that fight made for some excellent /Gpose after!!
So here’s your ironic screen shots of Amon taking down a representation of the very thing that defeated him… in the very place he was defeated. XD

Amon walks up to the Tower gates and they happily open for him!
This is something he’s only DREAMED could happen. It’s actually a little cruel to have it played out in MSQ but never for real. Ah, well. That’s Amon’s life.
I do have questions about the status of the Tower, though. I probably need to go back and re-watch the end to get some clarity, if there is any. Is the Tower still “asleep” and frozen in time, or is it active again? I’m guessing it’s still “sealed” - the gates still can only be opened by Allagan royal blood.
These are important questions for me to determine the future of Amon’s story, naturally. Anyhow. Here’s the ironic screenshots of what can never be.

“I swear I didn’t break anything this time!”
Last week, Scylla and I got as far as unlocking the Gauntlet during 5.3 before we had to break for the night. The next day, not thinking about the state we’d left the First in, I went off to do Dwarf Beast Tribe quests on Amon. I was taken aback to see that the starfall weather was persistent across zones, and had to go and take a few shots of it!
Amon… stop breaking the First!
Reflections of a Faire

The Moonfire Faire was the first Eorzean event I experienced back when I was still new to these lands. I recall enjoying the fireworks then, just as much as I still do now. Only, at that point in my life, I was relatively alone.
How much a difference a few years makes. Now, I find people everywhere! Perhaps ‘tis a testament of how far I’ve come to realize where I am right now.
When your mind is cluttered with so much all the time – like mine is – ‘tisn’t easy to recognize that progress doesn’t always mean vast, shifting moments in one’s life. But if you can silence those thoughts, perhaps for the space of a fireworks display, it occurs to me how rare and beautiful ‘tis to have cross paths with so many amazing individuals.

I actually earned all of these last night on Amon, but it was just too late to post them yesterday. Since his character didn’t exist back when the previous YoKai events happened, he had to start everything from scratch.
My goal was originally just to earn the Whisper mount. But after seeing how much easier this version of the event was – at least on the first day – I went ahead and got the four new weapons, too. I figured they’d be the harder ones to get if I put them off since they require higher level FATEs.
I don’t know if I’ll have the motivation to do all the rest of the weapons yet. Especially since I have two alts that need the mount and a bunch of alts that I’d like to finish the minion collection on. We’ll see!

So, I noticed that when you are flying in the air or under water, when your character pops out to shoot the tank canon, they SHRINK DOWN when they duck back in! At least, Elezen do!
